There are two types of trust

Public Trusts: a trust established to benefit a vast number of people or society at large. The traditional examples are non-profit NGOs and charitable organizations created for the benefit of the community at large. Since public trusts were established for the general good and contribution of the public, they are also known as charitable trusts.
Private Trusts: A personal trust is established for a select set of beneficiaries. Here the receivers are easily identified as children, relations or relatives. A personal trust is one that has been established for the author’s children, relatives, and family.
